GETTING TO & AROUND PRESCOTT
If you're nearby you can easily get to Prescott by car and enjoy the scenic drive into town (get directions on Google Maps). If you're a little farther away Prescott does have a municipal airport and is a 1hr 45min drive from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Prescott is a cheerful city with over 300 days of sunshine per year and an average temperature of about 70 degrees. Prescott falls into a "Mediterranean Climate" zone; it's has a relatively high rainfall and dry early summer period, with mild to cool winters and warm to hot summers. December is generally the coolest month with an average high of 51.5 degrees and a light sprinkling of snow, and July is traditionally the hottest month is an average high of 88.9 degrees and the occasional period of heavy rain ("monsoon rains"). Each of Prescott's seasons are temperately mild and stirringly beautiful.
THINGS TO DO IN PRESCOTT
There are several beautiful hiking trails surrounding Prescott. The City of Prescott has a downloadable Trails & Recreation Map available that is easy to use while you're out exploring. The Mile-High Trail System contains 70+ miles of trails including Rails-to-Trails projects. The Prescott Circle Trail is a network of trails that will eventually circle all of Prescott.
The lakes around Prescott offer many recreational opportunities for the family; picnics, boating, and fishing.
There are four golf courses within the city limits of Prescott: Antelope Hills Golf Course, Capital Canyon Golf Club (private), Talking Rock Golf Club (private), and Prescott Lakes Golf Club (private). More public courses are located nearby in surrounding towns.

There is always something happening in Prescott! Local art shows, evening music performances, and live entertainment five nights a week in the summer make downtown Prescott the place to be. The American Planning Association (APA) named Prescott’s one of the “Top Ten Public Spaces” in the United States.
